THE APPALACHIAN GOLDEN PACKET ATTEMPT  This APRS amateur radio event will consist of individuals on 15 hill-top sites from Georgia to Maine on 26 July for 6 hours to attempt to relay a text message using hand-held radios the 2000 mile length of the Appalachian trail.  Details at:

MSARC MEETINGS

Club meetings are held at 7 P.M. the first Thursday of each month. The odd numbered month meetings  will be in the Lauderdale County EMA meeting room in the basement of the Florence Municipal Building and the even months in the Colbert County EMA meeting room in the Colbert County Annex basement.  All are encouraged to attend and are welcome.

VEC TESTING

3rd Saturday of Even Numbered Months
Testing begins at 1:00 PM

VEC testing takes place locally at the library, 2 blocks north of Tennessee Street at 350 N.  Wood Avenue.    Enter the East Doors from the parking lot and then to your right.  Coffeeology coffee bar available inside the door with refreshments, coffee, soups and sandwiches.  Wifi available.  Remember to bring required documentation and fee.  Email by clicking HERE or phone (256) 247-3085 for more information.

All amateur operators and those interested in the hobby are invited to attend the meetings of the Muscle Shoals Amateur Radio Club each month.  All are welcome.

The 146.61 repeater is an open repeater in the Shoals Area is sponsored and provided to the amateur community of the Shoals by the club.  It's use is encouraged by all.  It uses a 100 Hz tone.  Please support the club and amateur radio.
